Video: Patton’s Take on “Christmas Shoes”
2010 | Celebrities, Religion
Have I mentioned that I’m technically, even literally in love with comedian/actor Patton Oswalt? No, not because he’s gorgeous – which he is – but because I end up agreeing with 90 percent of everything he says, and what I don’t is so funny that it doesn’t manage to offend me.
You HAVE to listen to this, this video is basically just audio with a little cartoon but it’s his take on that awful Christmas Shoes country song I’ve got to kill:

Photos: On the Campaign Trail
2010 | Family, Friends, Politics, Rants, Religion, Travel
Not a lot to blog about today, but I do have some photos from a recent trip in the RV of Death, out to the far corners of the campaign trail this week. Here’s some junk from The Conspiracy Room in KC:
The Conspiracy Room is bascially a renovated 1930s style floorshow nightclub with a projector and pull down screen, a fairly lavish bar, a back room and an extremely gaudy but gorgeous Egyptian theme to the decor.
The club also boasts an extensive amount of great old posters and photos, one of which is a full 3 panel wall tribute to Marylin Monroe near the entrence.
Granted, I was there for crap I didn’t want to be there for, and since it was a political rally (and also conservative Republican, pew) there was no music, no dancing, no real fun of any kind. In fact the highlight of my night was getting hit on by a looney fringe, real, live conspiracy nutcase who tried to explain to me about God’s plan – um, no thanks.
At least I got some nice photos, which you can check out on my flickr photostream!
Second, there are some gorgeous pics of the Capitol Building (if I do say so myself – and I do) that I took on another excursion to Jefferson City, Missouri for yet another stupid tea-bagger rally. You’d think they’d get it out of their system, wouldn’t you? It’s awful tough to hear their right-wing, racist, religionist, cry-baby BS all the damn time and not be able to say anything about it. At least I got to see the capitol, eh? And it is really beautiful, inside and out!
My only issue with the building itself, or I should say it’s design, is that the bulk of what is written inside it are either super religeous quotes or their DIRECTLY from the Bible.
Okay, you’re Christian – fine, we all get it. I don’t give a rats ass if you are or you aren’t, but there IS a Constitutional seperation between church and state in this country no matter how much the ass wagon would love for people to believe that we’re all Evangelical douche bags. Those phrases and quotes that call on God and his oh-so-many retarded blessings? Put them in your house, don’t put them in a building my tax money pays for, thank you so very much. Anyway, enough rant, on to the flickr photostream!

My New Dad
2009 | Dating, Family, Rants, Rawr, Religion
Well I talked to my mom’s new fiancé on Friday, and she’s lied her ass off about this guy for almost a year. She said he was Jewish – uh, no he’s not. She said he was from New York – also not, he’s a hick from the stix. He’s also a Born Again, got ‘saved’ on Halloween, and seems to expect the same of me.
He can try to force that crap down my throat but he’s gonna pull back a nub if he does. I’m an Odinist and will be until the day they haul me to the curb and that’s not going to change for some redneck with a fat wallet – which, I think, is the only reason she’s marrying this douche bag. My mom doesn’t like to work, in fact she’s been married twice to be taken care of.
She says she’s getting married in May – or earlier. She lied about that, too. I swear to the gods, if I have to go to that wedding it’s gonna be on every news channel. I have a bad feeling about this.

Buffy vs. Edward Cullen
2009 | Movies, Rants, Rawr, Religion, TV, Video
As you know, I’m sure, from all my ranting I’m no fan of Twilight. I’ve been known to refer to it as Twifart and it’s fans as Twitards or Twibait and in my house toilet paper has been jokingly renamed Twilight paper in honor of how much we dislike this book/film franchise.
I’m a much bigger Buffy fan. In fact, I’m a bigger Buffy fan than I am a fan of almost anything, so when Laota shared with me her find from Rebellious Pixels it made my day!
That is *exactly* what I’ve wanted to see for eleven billion years, lol. Kick his butt, Buffy! Kick it! Again!
